The coroner has concluded that Brittany Murphy died of pneumonia, with anemia and multiple drug intoxication as contributing factors.  The full toxicology results haven’t been released yet but Murphy apparently was on anti-seizure medication, among other things, and had taken Robitussin for flu symptoms.  Basically, she was full of drugs, which caused her to get pneumonia and die.  That’s what medical experts are saying, who have had a chance to look at the coroner’s report.  They say the medical examiner may have listed pneumonia as the primary cause of death to “spare the family,” but in reality, it was the drugs.  They might as well have written down, “Died of being a huge mess.”
